Dear birthday boy,

Wow. This has been a really big year. Since your last birthday, we made the decision to pack up our lives in Texas and move to Hawaii. We found a couple jobs, a cute little house by the beach, and figured out our new surroundings together. We’ve seen landscapes that look like postcards, towering mountains of lush green, covered in hundreds of waterfalls. We’ve seen turquoise waves and stunning canyons. We’ve made a few life-long friends and memories we will never forget. We’ve embarked on a new mission together to change our financial future through Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover. And we’ve learned more about ourselves than I ever thought possible.

On top of all of that, I’ve been making huge changes in my business. I’ve invested so much time into improving, growing, educating, building my brand, and creating the business I’ve been dreaming of. I’ve spent hours and hours working on my laptop every night. Hours stressing about all of the things I want to make happen. Hours trying to make them happen in my free time on evenings and weekends. Hours that could have been spent with you… But instead of complaining, you never stop supporting me. You always encourage me to chase my dreams no matter what. And I appreciate that more than you know.

Life moves so fast. It’s a whirlwind of never-ending decisions, to-do lists, errands, chores, and best of all.. possibilities. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the whirlwind. But today is your birthday. And today, all those things stop. Today, I want to thank you.

Thank you for putting almond joys in my lunch. Thank you for making my coffee every morning. Thank you for sending me random texts to say I love you. Thank you for knowing exactly when I need Friends, red wine, and ice cream. Thank for telling me I’m beautiful. Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for messing with me when I’m grumpy because you know it secretly cheers me up. Thank you for the hugs, kisses, and tickles that make my heart smile. Thank you for your patience when my stress is unintentionally taken out on you. Thank you for accepting my lack of decision-making skills. Thank you for loving me no matter what. And thank you for being everything I could ever dream of and more.
