It was a gorgeous Spring evening in Texas… A gentle breeze was stirring the newly-green leaves. The sun was peeking through the trees as it sank low in the sky. And the light spilled across the field as Gavin twirled Callie around – beaming at his stunning new bride. I might have prompted this action for a photograph, but let me assure you there was nothing posed about this moment. As the evening fell, these two giggled and kissed and twirled their way across that sun-drenched field – the happiest pair of newlyweds I’ve ever seen… Mr. + Mrs. George.

This was my favorite moment of Callie + Gavin’s wedding day. They had just tied the knot and we snuck away for sunset portraits while the rest of the guests enjoyed cocktail hour. As we walked across the field, the sounds of the celebration faded into the distance, and we entered into a peaceful, quiet moment where Callie + Gavin could just be together and soak up the joy of their first moments as husband + wife. It was as if their love was the center of the universe for that brief, beautiful moment. And the lovely Texas country provided the perfect backdrop for the perfect couple.

The rest of their wedding day was filled with family, friends, love, laughter, and Jesus. Chapel Creek Ranch was the perfect setting for their rustic, yet elegant occasion. Callie made it clear from the beginning that she wanted to stay true to her country roots, while at the same time, giving it a simple and classy spin. Needless to say, she did an incredible job. From the satin bridesmaid dresses to the elegant florals to her simply stunning gown, her style clearly mirrored her personality – gorgeous, classy, and genuine with a touch of country.

These two have such a beautiful relationship, and that was made abundantly clear by the way their loved ones spoke about them throughout the day (and also by the way they spoke to those around them – so full of respect and gratitude for their love and support). Theirs’ is the kind of love that will make you believe in soulmates. I’m honored to have been able to witness their love, and even more so to have been able to document it for them. Their Spring wedding was such a wonderful way to celebrate this new chapter in their lives. Afterall, Spring is the time for new beginnings and brighter days.
