It’s hard to describe the magic of Katie and Lucas’ wedding at The Bowden. The venue itself looked stunning – the light-filled chapel was adorned with colorful florals by the amazing Blooming Accents. And the entire day moved so seamlessly, thanks to the expert planning of WoW Events. It was hot – I mean, really hot. But that didn’t matter one bit, because the energy and love in the air was so palpable. And that’s really what the day was about – this beautiful couple and their love for each other.

Katie and Lucas are the kind of people who make you believe in soulmates. (I knew it from the minute I met them at their Engagement Session last fall). You can see it in the way they look at each other, the way they hold hands and the way they laugh together. Katie radiates joy and warmth wherever she goes, immediately welcoming you with her huge smile and infectious laughter. Lucas is simply overflowing with kindness, character, and energy, making everyone around him feel seen and loved. Together, they are a force of pure joy.

When it came time for their first look, they shared private vows that were heartfelt and silly (featuring a Mister Rogers song), just like the two of them. They promised to love each other through all of life’s ups and downs, and I know they meant every word.

Their guests then gathered in the sun-drenched chapel for the wedding ceremony. They fanned themselves against the heat, but as soon as Katie appeared in her stunning dress, everything else melted away. I watched as Lucas caught his breath, clearly moved by the sight of his beautiful bride. The ceremony was filled with emotion, laughter, and worship as they tied the knot in front of their beloved friends and family.

And then it was time to party! The reception was a blur of laughter and dancing (featuring an Elvis costume, crowd surfing, and two Hamilton performances). I’ll never forget the look on Katie and Lucas’ faces as they twirled around the dance floor, grinning from ear to ear. It was clear that they were having the time of their lives, surrounded by the people who loved them most.

Katie and Lucas, you two are truly something special, and I know your life together will be filled with even more love, laughter, and adventure. Thank you for inviting me into your story, and allowing me the honor of documenting this beautiful chapter for you. I hope these photographs evoke joy and happy tears for generations to come.
