Boho Chic Wedding by the Sea | Caitrin + Blake

November 5, 2022. Atlantic Beach, Florida.

It was a beautiful day… The warm breeze rustled the palm trees’ leaves, the sun shimmered on the ocean’s waves, and bride and groom waited eagerly to say “I do” to their best friend.

Caitrin and Blake are two of the sweetest souls I’ve ever had the joy of knowing, and I am tremendously blessed to call them my friends. I had the incredible honor of photographing their intimate wedding in their hometown of Atlantic Beach, and it was truly the most perfect day. It is rare to find a love that is as deep and true as theirs – the kind that you take one glance at and know that it will last a lifetime. It’s been the privilege of my life to be able to witness it and watch it grow throughout my years of friendship with Caitrin, not to mention document it for them in these beautiful photographs…

You are my best friend, my soulmate, my partner, my star seed.
I’ll never forget when I first met you, I was instantly drawn to you. You were the light I didn’t know I needed. I’ll never forget sitting on the life guard chairs after our first date where we talked for 8 hours talking about life, our dreams and fears. It was as though time stood still on that lifeguard chair and in that moment I fell in love with you.
When I reflect on our past ten years, I’m reminded of the huge amount of love and support we’ve given each other. We’ve helped each other through the valleys and cheered for each other at the top of the mountain. It’s a type of love that is so deep and so true.
In every memory, I’m reminded why I fell in love with you and why I’ve always chosen you and will forever choose you. I love how compassionate and caring you are. Your ability to make anyone feel comfortable and at peace is a true gift. I love how you wake up with a song of the day in your head and you share it with me to get the day started on the right foot. I love listening to you play guitar and sing when you think no one is listening. I love how mailable you are when I can’t make a decision or change my mind a thousand times. I love how you love our dogs and would do anything in the world for them. I love how adventurous you are, always down for any wild idea I come up with. I love how you love me so deeply and effortlessly.
Our love is like the ocean. It is somewhere I go when I am stressed or in my head. It is constant and strong, yet peaceful and calm. It brings me home.
Today, I stand before you, ready and eager to become your wife. I vow to love you, all of you, to the moon and back for all of eternity. I vow to extend grace and compassion, especially when I’m hangry. I vow to continue encouraging you and reminding you how worthy you are to be loved. I vow to treat you with respect and as my equal. Today, I vow to choose you, now and forever. I choose to be your best friend, partner and your forever star seed.
Today, I give thanks to the last 10 years, thanks to all of the adventures and growth. I look forward towards our future, the future of “we”. You are the road I choose to travel and I’d choose you in any lifetime.”

“Caitrin,
From the moment I met you that day at Cabana I knew there was something about you that was fascinating. Was it your sheer beauty? Was it your absolutely contagious laugh? Was it the fact that everyone wanted to be around you? Or Was it the way you can speed walk around without moving your arms at all?
No, what ultimately drew me to you from the beginning was the way we laughed and talked endlessly. I think of sitting from dusk until dawn on a lifeguard chair just talking about our beliefs and goals in life. And then watching you surf after you told me you knew what you were doing. Those were the moments early on that I knew you were a special soul. A person with a lust for life I have never seen before. A person that honestly doesn’t let anything stand in the way of their dreams.
And I knew, from then on, you were my one.
The one that has shown me a way of life I never knew existed.
The one that has held me accountable to all of my commitments and more.
And the one who has supported me through literally the best and worst times of my life. You light the fire under me when I truly need it most. You have shown me how to be a truly authentic person. And you always….always see the potential in me. Even if I’m completely blind to it.
