“Love doesn’t just sit there, like a stone, it has to be made, like bread; remade all the time, made new.” — Ursula K. Le Guin
Love is a beautiful thing. Every story is unique. And every chapter is unique. Most often, we find ourselves celebrating the milestones – engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays… But sometimes, the most beautiful chapters, are the ones in the middle. The ones where there’s nothing else to focus on, to distract you. There’s no wedding reception or anniversary trip to plan. So you simply focus on each other and the love between you. And sometimes, in those moments of calm that are seemingly dull, your love finally has room to grow and blossom.
I love documenting stories that are in this chapter. And Amanda and Chad gave me the joy of doing just that. They joined me on a lovely fall evening at Eagle Mountain Park for a family session with their precious fur-baby, Bentley. (As a dog mom, there’s nothing I love more than capture the bond between a sweet pup and their parents). Even though they weren’t celebrating any milestone in particular, there was no denying the strength of their love – so joyful and genuine. The way these two looked at each other, you would have thought it was their wedding day all over again.
Amanda and Chad, I love you guys so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me the honor of commemorating this chapter of your love story – “The Middle”.
Here are a few favorites from their sweet family session!
