His little curly head rested heavily on his mom’s shoulder. He was in a daze watching the waves roll onto the shore. He had worn himself out.  He was straddling him mom’s baby bump, not even realizing that his baby brother was in there. In another month or so, he would have a little partner in crime. A best friend to bond with as they grew up together. Kayla held them both tightly, looking effortless in her role as a soon-to-be mother of two boys. The picture of motherhood was so beautiful, it was impossible to look away.

Sweet Jaxon wasn’t only a Momma’s boy though. When Javier picked him up to give Kayla’s arms a rest, he melted into his dad’s chest. Safe and secure, little Jaxon was at home there. And Javier was too. Staring down at his little man with the huge grin of a proud father. These two were like two peas in a pod. But good thing some pods have three peas! Because there’s another little guy on his way, and I think he’s going to fit in Daddy’s arms just fine.

Jaxon wasn’t quiet and sleepy throughout the whole session though. When they first arrived, he was Mr. Explorer, as most toddlers his age are. But however crazy they are, however much they cry or fuss or run around… these are the good times. Kayla and Javier, having two boys under two isn’t going to be easy all the time. But soak it in while you can. These days fly by, and they grow up so fast. In the small amount of time we were together, I saw two incredible parents and one beautiful young family. I can’t wait to see what your boys become. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these sweet memories for your growing family. This is such a special time for you guys, and I’m honored to have been a small part of it.
