Jimi and Jason’s meet cute happened at Gloria’s restaurant at Rockwall Harbor… So naturally, this beautiful harbor was the ideal choice for the location of their engagement session!

We couldn’t have dreamed for more perfect weather for their lovely shoot. There was a cool breeze blowing in from the lake, the sun was shining, and the scents of a beautiful Texas Spring was in the air. I don’t know about you, but I have always loved the ocean. Of course, I love a beautiful sandy beach with waves crashing on the shore. But, I also love harbors…

The sounds of the water lapping against the boats, the bouy bells dinging, the creak of the pier, the seagulls calling overhead, and the smell of saltwater in the air. Naturally, I would prefer an ocean harbor, but seeing as the closest ocean is 5+ hours away, Rockwall Harbor definitely helps curb my cravings. If you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and haven’t been, you absolutely must go check it out.

This gorgeous harbor made for the perfect backdrop for Jimi and Jason’s engagement session. Firstly, because it holds a special place in their hearts as the place where their love story began. And secondly, because you just can’t beat a sunset over the water.

Jimi and Jason were so much fun during their shoot! These two reminded me of a couple teenagers on their first date. It was all smiles, giggles, and kisses the entire time. And I LOVED it. I truly believe that all couples should act like teenagers in love until… well, forever. Why not? That playful kind of energy is what keeps us young and reminds us why we fell in love with each other in the first place.

Jimi and Jason, you two are an inspiration. I had so much fun exploring this beautiful harbor with you guys, hearing all about your love story, and getting to know you better!
