A couple weeks ago, I posted a blog post with a list of 25 Activities for Quarantine… One of the activities on that list was “Start a travel journal”, beginning with making a list of all the places you plan to go once this pandemic is over.

And that’s exactly what I did! I created my World Travel Bucket List!

I must admit that this whole quarantine, stay home thing hasn’t been all that difficult for me. You see, I’m actually an introvert at heart. And a total homebody. So an excuse to avoid social interactions and hangout at home with my boyfriend and Corgi puppy is kind of a dream come true.

However the whole not-being-able-to-travel thing is a whole different story. Even though I’m a homebody, I absolutely LOVE traveling… I find myself missing various parts of the world. I miss the winding cobblestone streets, quaint villages, majestic cathedrals, and stunning architecture of Europe. I miss the soft sand, swaying palm trees, salty air, and the smell of coconuts from the beach. I miss the towering pine trees, crisp air, fresh powder, cozy fireplaces, and beautiful lodges of the mountain states. And I miss all the places and things I still have yet to experience.

And here’s the best part… This new travel journal project is actually two-fold. First – make a Travel Bucket List of all the places you want to go in your life (you can always add on to it!). Second – as you travel to all those wonderful places, write down your experiences! It doesn’t have to be a masterpiece, just talk about what you did every day (and of course take pictures to help solidify the memories)! Even if no one else ever reads them, it doesn’t matter. It’s for you and your memories. Just imagine one day combining all your travel journals into one big book of adventures that you can flip through and reminisce on the times when you explored every corner of the earth.

So with no further delay, I present to you Part 1 of my travel journal – The Bucket List!
