Let me tell you guys a little story… Back in 2015, I bought my first DSLR camera. My boyfriend, Trey, and I were traveling a lot, and I originally bought it only to take photos of the beautiful landscapes we were witnessing. Not knowing what path it would eventually lead me down…

A few months later our friend from college, Jess, asked me to do a Christmas photoshoot of her, her boyfriend Jeff, and her family. She was so sweet to trust me with capturing her family’s memories, seeing as I had never done a professional photoshoot before. I was definitely a bit nervous but we had so much fun! Little did I know that would be my very first photoshoot of many more to come.

Fast forward a few months and our sweet friends were packing up and moving to Pensacola, Florida for Jeff to join the Marines. Then, a few months later, Jeff popped the much anticipated question, and Jess said YES! The best part? Trey and I flew out to Florida to visit and celebrate with them. And Jess, once again, trusted me with her precious engagement memories and became my first ever engagement session.

You can probably guess where the rest of this story goes…. Jess then became my first ever bride to book a wedding with me. Her and Jeff got married in Texas in March 2017. And their wedding was an absolute DREAM. If I could photograph it over and over again, I would!

Fast forward another year, and Jess and Jeff were about to welcome their first baby girl! I was actually living in Hawaii at the time and they were in Mississippi. But we managed to squeeze in a maternity shoot on a weekend we both happened to be in Dallas. She looked stunning… even more beautiful than on her wedding day, if at all possible.

Today, Jess and Jeff are living in North Carolina, and have TWO beautiful little girls – Kimber is now 2 years old, and little Landry is just a few weeks old. When Jess asked if we could schedule a family photoshoot when her and Jeff were going to be in town, I just about screamed. I couldn’t wait to capture more of their beautiful love story and of their growing family.

This time, their family photoshoot included not two… but FOUR generations. There were three sweet little babies now, plus the most important family members – Granny and Papa.

Jess, I seriously can’t thank you enough… Not only have you been the most wonderful friend over the years, but also the best client I could ever hope for. I can honestly say, I don’t know where I, or my business, would be if it wasn’t for your trust in me. You pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and try new things – things that I ended up falling in love with. Thank you for having faith in me AND for giving me the honor of documenting you and Jeff’s beautiful love story. It has brought me so much joy to watch you and your precious family grow. Congratulations on your newest addition, and on a beautiful story still in the making…. Love you guys!!
